Shooting and Editing Style

We follow a simple yet precise style of filming performances. We use two cameras; one a stationary wide shot, the other for close-ups of the action. We typically only cut to close-ups if there aren’t many dancers on stage, or they are grouped together, so a dancer and their choreography is never cut off, and 100% of all dancing is seen.

We edit using a live mixer system, which also includes an audio deck feed into the mix, so the sound quality is as high as the picture quality. We also put a micropohne on stage to capture group singing, tap dance sounds, etc, which we edit in later.

Pricing

 The full cost of a dance concert is $1,200, which is the final cost including GST. You will receive a link to an MP4 video of the performance that can be shared with whomever you choose, so they can download their own copy to keep forever.

If there are multiple performances on the same day/over multiple days, we’re happy to offer discounted rates rather than simply charge $1,200 per show.
