Graduation Videography
Video Essentials has been a leading producer of video services since 1992, specialising in school concerts and graduation ceremonies.
Whether your graduation is in a big theatre or a small school hall, we’ll set up cameras and microphones to capture every moment.
When filming an event you only get one chance to get it right. Experience is everything. When the lights go out, you need a highly specialised skill set and a clear plan. There’s no “Take Two.”
Before you book a videographer for your next performance make sure you’ve seen their product. We have highlights available below for you to watch, and we’re happy to show full performances from your venue upon request. If you’ve booked a theatre, chances are very high we’ve worked there many times.
For over 40 years, Video Essentials has recorded over 3,000 concerts and is one of Melbourne’s leading live production specialists.
We pride ourselves on retaining clients year after year through friendliness, professionalism, and most importantly, a great looking product.
Shooting and Editing Style
We use a specific forumla of filming specifically designed for graduations. We use two cameras; one a stationary wide shot, the other for close-ups of the action. We quickly and precisely cut to each student receiving awards/certificates as their names are read out and they enter frame.
We edit using a live mixer system, which also includes an audio deck feed into the mix, so the sound quality is as high as the picture quality. We also put a micropohne on stage to capture group singing, applause, etc, which we edit in later.
