Video Essentials will convert your film for 30 cents per foot. A small reel (3 inch / 7.5 cm) contains 50 feet of film. This equates to $15 per reel. This includes film cleaning, repairs to old splices and image enhancement (if required).
You can purchase a USB for $10 or supply your own. There is a MINIMUM charge of $50 for all film conversions to DVD or MPEG4.

We Use State-of-the-Art HD Scanning Equipment
We use a state of the art HD 1080p frame by frame film scanner to get the best reproduction from your treasured Standard 8 and Super 8 silent films. Scanning systems are far superior to older conversion methods which can produce flickering, jittering, poor contrast, hot spots in the image, poor focus and washed out colours.
You can choose to have your 8mm silent films converted to DVD or MPEG4 (H264) video files to play on any PC or Mac computer. MPEG4 (H264) is a high quality file and an industry standard.
We offer an editing service where you can come in and sit with one of our editors to re-imagine your old films.
The edited final product can then be transferred to DVD or another MPEG4 video file. You’ll be amazed at what you can create in a short time!
